Scope:
The current trajectory of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) and Computational Intelligence (CI) has revolutionized the healthcare system around the world, making it patient-centric, data-driven and highly intelligent. Biomedical data, with its rapidly growing availability, from electronic health records (EHRs) and wearable sensors, smart medical devices, genomic data, imaging systems, telemedicine systems, and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) have presented unprecedented opportunities for new and advanced computational methodologies in the fields of biomedical data analysis and informatics, and healthcare. At the same time, new models like Healthcare 4.0, digital medicine, precision healthcare, neuromorphic computing, explainable AI, and federated intelligence are changing the nature of diagnosis, monitoring, prediction, and treatment of various diseases.
The aim of the book series Machine Learning in Biomedical Science and Healthcare Informatics is to encompass all aspects of advanced research, innovation, methodologies, tools, frameworks and applications in intelligent healthcare technologies, to disseminate cutting edge research and innovation in the field. The series is dedicated to studying how to enable the integration of machine learning, deep learning, AI, CI, big data, biomedical informatics, semantic technologies and various other methods to overcome challenges in complex healthcare systems and achieve better clinical outcomes, healthcare access, sustainability and efficiency.
This series aims to connect computational scientists and biomedical scientists by fostering the integration of experts from different disciplines from around the world, including research, academia, healthcare professions, biomedical engineering, clinical practice, industry, policy and innovation in interdisciplinary healthcare applications. The series aims for contributions that encompass both theory and algorithms, as well as practice and practical implementation, validation in clinical and industrial settings.

About the Series Editor(s):
Dr. Vishal JainDr. Vishal Jain Jain currently serves as a Professor and Dean of Accreditation, Statutory Compliances & Institutional Development at the School of Engineering & Technology, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies - Technical Campus, New Delhi. His previous roles include Professor at Sharda University, Greater Noida, and Associate Professor at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi. Dr. Jain has actively participated in various academic governance bodies, including the Faculty Board, Board of Planning and Management, Executive Council, Academic Council, Curriculum Development and Review Committee, and Academic Audit across multiple higher education institutions. He collaborates with Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST), Lincoln University College, Putra Business School, and the Research Institute of IoT Cybersecurity at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan for research initiatives. He has supervised three Ph.D. candidates, with two additional scholars currently pursuing their degrees under his guidance. Dr. Jain has authored over 250 research papers in professional journals and conferences, and has written and edited more than 70 books, many indexed in Scopus, with renowned publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley. His publication record exceeds 300 Scopus entries, and he serves as the book series editor for ten series with respected international publishers. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Jain has organized numerous conferences, faculty development programs, seminars, hackathons, and activities for both faculty and students. His research interests encompass machine learning, information retrieval, semantic web, ontology engineering, data mining, ad hoc networks, sensor networks, and network security. He has received several accolades, including the Young Active Member Award from the Computer Society of India in 2012-13, the Best Faculty Award in 2017, and the Best Researcher Award in 2019 from BVICAM, New Delhi.

Prof. Jyotir Moy ChatterjeeProf. Jyotir Moy Chatterjee is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Additionally, he holds a position as an Assistant Professor (Visiting Faculty) in the Department of IT at Lord Buddha Education Foundation, which is affiliated with the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Malaysia in Kathmandu, Nepal. Before these roles, he served as an Assistant Professor and Program Leader for the B.Sc. IT program at Lord Buddha Education Foundation and as an Assistant Professor in the CSE department at GD-Rungta College of Engineering & Technology, affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University in Bhilai, India. His academic journey includes earning an M. Tech degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India in 2016, and a B. Tech degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute in Maduravoyal, Chennai, India in 2013. In terms of his research interests, he has a strong focus on Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
