Scope:
The series “Advances in Surface Engineering and Materials Processing” is a wide-ranging source of current research and practice in surface modification, coating, and fabrication of materials. The series includes topics such as nanotechnology, catalytic and photocatalytic processes, development of new materials, colloids, and surfaces, thin film deposition processes, and surface engineering methods for many different industrial uses. It encompasses bulk and surface processes like precipitation hardening, carburizing, nitriding, anodizing and enhanced coating technologies including thermal spraying, laser and microwave cladding, CVD, PVD, sol gel and post processing as well as functional and biomedical coating, corrosion and electrochemical surface phenomenon. The volumes of this series will also be focused on the materials processing and fabrication via alloy design, castings, forming, machining, joining, heat treatment, additive and hybrid manufacturing with a focus placed on chemical, thermal, and physical changes that determine material behavior. Much attention is paid to synthesis-structure-properties-performance correlations elaborated by comprehensive characterization of mechanical, thermal, electrical, wear, and corrosion properties. By facilitating the connections between existing and new technologies, the series serves as a key reference source to researchers, engineers, and practitioners in academia and industry seeking groundbreaking material and surface solutions.
About the Series Editor(s):
Dr. Jashanpreet Singh is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering & University Centre of Research and Development at Chandigarh University, Mohali, India. He had obtained his PhD degree in the field of Slurry Erosion and Thermal Spray Coatings from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala in 2019. He has a teaching experience of more than three years and industry experience of more than two years. His area of research is tribology-solid particle erosion, power plant engineering, ash conveying, thermal spray coatings, CFD simulation, composites, biotechnology, additive manufacturing, and materials characterization. He has a Teaching experience of more than 5 years & Industrial Experience of 2 years. He is capable of handling the academic duties and research activities. He is familiar to CAD software, Artificial Intelligence, Design of experiments, and Materials characterization techniques.
Dr. Hitesh Vasudev is working as a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. He has received his Ph.D. degree from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana-India in 2018 under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Harmeet Singh, GNDEC, Ludhiana and Dr. Lalit Thakur, NIT, Kurukshetra. His research areas include Surface Engineering/Thermal Spraying (Hvof, Flame Spray, Cold Spray, Plasma Spray and Microwave Claddings) -Currently working on the development of Nano-structured, Multi-modal, and High entropy alloys coatings for high temperature oxidation and corrosion resistance -Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBCs) and Microwave processing of materials. Recently, he has listed in World top 2% Scientists twice published by Stanford University and Elsevier-2023 &2024.
