One Line Description
The book provides a comprehensive review of cutting-edge research, innovative fabrication strategies and utilization methodologies frequently adopted in the advanced composite materials community.

The book is written for scientists, engineers and technologists in academia and industry in materials science, nanotechnology, biomedical engineering working on composite systems and nano-devices, sensors, carbon nanomaterials, graphene, nanobiomaterials and advanced biomaterials applications.

The term “composites” is a simplified way of describing the combining of unique properties of different materials to produce synergistic effects in any area of application. In the last decade tremendous strides have been made and the current developmental trend of new composites is towards highly precise green approaches in order to control the hazardous substances and wastes created during production.
Included in this book are chapters on innovative fabrication strategies and utilization methodologies frequently adopted in the advanced composite materials community with respect to developing appropriate composites to efficiently utilize macro- and nanoscale features.
Specifically, the reader will find in the book:
• How to use CNT-reinforced bioceramic composites in orthopedic applications
• Tuning hydroxyapatite particles’ characteristics for solid freeform fabrication of bone scaffolds
• Therapeutic strategies for bone regeneration
• Nanostructured ceramics and bioceramics for bone cancer treatment
• Innovative high-tech ceramics materials
• Composite materials for application in printed electronics
• Biocompatible/green materials for biomedical composites
